DEFINITION

Cream/white coloured granules manufactured by milling, drying and sieving. Mountain Spruce boards from sustainable forests. The spruce chips are kiln-dried and carefully sifted to attain the specified grade.

PHYSICAL AND CHEMICAL PROPERTIES

  • high absorbency: 1L of B8/20 chips can absorb up to 0.7 L.
  • efficient and natural absorption of odours.
  • low dust content
  • no chemical treatment in any way
  • ash at 800° C : 1.2 %
  • loose bulk density: 160 to 170 g/l
  • moisture content : 10 to 15 % maximum
  • pH: 5.6

PARTICLE SIZE

  • dust content (particles below 250 µm): 0.1 % maximum
  • average size of particles: 1.5 mm - 1.8 mm
