Definition

Cream coloured flakes manufactured by sifting softwood shavings derived from Nordic Fir from sustainable forests. Gold flakes are kiln-dried and carefully sifted to attain the specified sieve analysis.

Physical and Chemical Properties

  • absorbency: 1L of Gold flakes can absorb up to
    0.35 L.
  • efficient and natural absorption of odours.
  • low dust content
  • no chemical treatment in any way
  • ash at 800° C : 1.2 %
  • loose bulk density: 70 to 80 g/l
  • moisture content : 10 to 15 % maximum
  • pH : 5.6

Particle Size

  • average size of particles: 1 mm - 4 mm
  • dust content (particles below 250 µm) : 1 % maximum
