DEFINITION

Particles of pinewood, riddled, dried at high temperature, afterwards riddled and  made dust-free.

PHYSICAL AND CHEMICAL PROPERTIES

  • high absorbency: 1 L chips can absorb up to 0.8 litres
  • virtually dust free
  • no chemical treatment in any way
  • ash at 800° C: 0.5 %
  • loose bulk density: 0.130 to 0.190 g/l
  • product is not subject to any chemical treatment
  • bottom layer: pine
  • pH 5.0 – 5.6
  • humidity: 9 to15 % maximum

Chemical composition (analysis of dried product)

  • cellulose : 45 - 50 %
  • hemianopsys : 20 - 25 %
  • wood : 22 - 27 %  

PARTICLE SIZE

  • average size of particles : 0.9 mm – 1.2 mm
  • dust content (particles below 250 µm) : 2 % maximum

PACKAGING

  • polypropylene polymer bag of 110 litres
  • shrink wrapped pallet - 30 sacks – overall pallet dimensions: 80 x 120
